AZ We Dance will be holding their regular monthly contra dance on October 17 at the Cottonwood Civic Center. On the third Saturday of each month (except May) a live band plays traditional fiddle tunes, and a caller teaches and calls each dance; this dancing is high energy, fun and quite active. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Everyone is welcome! All dances taught; no experience or partner needed! This month's band "Just Desserts," is made up of Flagstaff's most dedicated contra dance musicians and features fiddle, banjo, dulcimer, guitar, mandolin, whistle, flute and more! Deb Comly calls and teaches the dances. Pot luck dinner 5:30-6:30, pre-dance lesson 6:30-7:00, dancing from 7:00-10:00! $6 per dancer, discount for youth.
