Nasser was the only survivor of his 21-member family who survived imprisonment in Auschwitz and then Mulhdorf. Nasser, a native of Budapest, Hungary, initially will speak at 6 p.m.,Tuesday, Nov. 13, at the Sedona Community Center. On Wednesday, he'll speak at 2 p.m. at Big Park Community School. Nasser will speak twice in Cottonwood on Wednesday, Nov. 15. His first presentation is at 9:15 a.m. at Mingus Union High School. He'll speak again at 1 p.m. at Cottonwood Middle School. At 6 p.m., he will be at the Beaver Creek Adult Center in Lake Montezuma. On Friday, Nasser first will talk to students at 9:30 a.m. at Glassford Middle School in Prescott Valley, but will return to Rimrock to speak at 12:30 pm to those at the Southwestern Academy. Nasser's autobiography, My Brother's Voice, forms the basis for much of his presentation. When he was only 13, the Nazis captured him and his family from their home in Budapest and shipped them in railroad cars to the notorious Auschwitz concentration camp. It was there that Nasser saw his family brutally murdered. In his book, he explains graphically how he survived the brutality of his captors until he was liberated by American troops in the spring 1945. Nasser and his wife Francoise now live in Las Vegas, Nev. However, he spends several weeks annually traveling nationally and internationally as a speaker at conferences, conventions and educational organizations. Those wanting additional information may contact the schools or organizations where Nasser is speaking or call Linda on 928 567 3972.
