John Ask of the Central Food Bank in Cottonwood recently visited a food bank in Iowa that was responsible for 40 counties. He noted that their shelves were bare Their shelves are bare and comments that the most likely reason is that during election year, people give a lot less.

Valley charities are now comparable to the people that they are looking to take care of-- they are now trying to make do without.
